Travel spending at federal agencies have been cut drastically in the last year or two. OMB asked agencies to cut travel spending and in some cases agencies cut them by up to 30 percent.
How have all of you been affected by these drastic cuts in travel spending?

I have been affected by the ban as a lot of necessary trips have been cancelled. This has affected a number of projects and programs, but, considering the nature of these efforts (they are research and development), the impact won’t be apparent for a couple of years.
Personally, I’m glad to stay home, having spent nearly 30 years as a road warrior (one year I was TDY for 320 days). I am especially glad to not have to fly and deal with the idiotic TSA.
