I went from an agency that had wifi in every room, to an agency that is about 20 years behind the technology curve. Employees have been asking for years about wifi in the building and we keep getting told that it is a security concern. I find that bogus. Wifi would help us be more productive, have working meetings and allow for collaboration by not tethering us to our desks. So far I see no plans for such services at my agency.
Is this a new invention.
