Watch Steny Hoyer blast 'most anti-federal worker Congress' he's seen

3

House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer, D-Md., this morning took the House floor to denounce a bill steeply hiking the pension contributions for new and rehired federal employees. But he didn’t stop there. Hoyer’s stemwinder of a speech turned into a condemnation of “the most anti-federal worker Congress that I have served in.”

Hoyer also says the 0.5 percent pay raise proposed by President Obama is pretty much dead, and that House Republicans have no intention of breaking the pay freeze. So get ready to tighten your belts for a third year.

Thank you, Rep Hoyer for impassioned plea on behalf of federal employees. I am a retired Federal Employee (age 82) and a member of NARFE. Eventually, I believe the cuts will be made to retired Federal employees also, and we are all now living on meager annuities and savings. So thank you for trying to keep our current, future and retired safe.

I have worked for state and county governments in my legal career but it wasn’t until I married my husband that I came to realize how many useless federal employees we have. I know for a fact that an employee of the CDc still has his job after being found guilty of two serious infractions (either infraction would have gotten him fired if he worked in the private sector) and was suspended twice and received a written reprimand for using CDC equipment and taxpayer time to conduct his love life on the Internet. This is what the taxpayer thinks of most federal employees. People who could not make it in the real job market. I want to expose what is going on in the CDC and I will.
