I am reminded of Sept. 11 and terrorism each day I enter the gates at work, where an armed guard checks my ID.
Before Sept. 11, we as government employees took a lot for granted. I never gave a thought to my safety at work. Now many security measures are in place. As a country, we can never again take workplace safety for granted.
But I am confident that the security measures will prevent or thwart future attempts. America will always be great.
